Foster Independence and Executive Functioning!


Service Description

I am passionate about working with students or parents who needs support developing executive functioning skills! Parents: Together we'll explore parenting a child with a unique nervous system and learn strategies to support your child's independence through their many strengths! We identify child-motivated goals and strengths-based strategies to support your child's unique brain style! Students: With my support and guidance, clients are able to understand how to develop Executive Functioning and Life skills. With weekly action plans, clients confidently recognize their unique interests and strengths to efficiently navigate challenges and build independence! All coaching is individualized and tailored to the students needs. The outline below is to serve as a guide around time frames and supports focused on for ideal skill development and generalization. Month 1: Identifying Strengths, Assessment of specific Executive Functioning Challenges, Goal Setting + Motivation Development. Month 2: Homework Routines, Daily Habits + Time Management Month 3: Prioritizing, Organization + Regulation Month 4: Study Skills, Planning + Flexible Thinking Month 5: Note Taking, Self Awareness + Problem Solving (Reassessment of Goal Areas) Month 6: Generalizing and Mobilizing Learned Skills Coaching develops strategies to: ● Navigate Effective ​Regulation and Problem-Solving ● Improve Time Management and Task Completion ● Enhance ​Focus and Flexibility ● Increase ​Organization and Planning ● Build Confidence and Advocacy Coaching sessions are 50 minutes. Accountability check-ins and messaging support is provided between sessions, so you can continue reflecting and problem-solving during the week. Parent participation once a month is encouraged to support students learning of executive functioning skills. Optional hybrid in-person and virtual sessions are available locally. Coaching is pre-paid by the month. Each month includes three individual sessions (1 each week is recommended). We ask clients to commit to least two months, but there is no limit on how long we continue.
